Miami, Fl – October 31, 2014 –Lynx Construction Management (Lynx) is in the process of a complete renovation of the Borinquen Medical Center in Miami.  The six story building will be transformed into a state-of-the-art medical facility for doctors and patients.

Lynx is performing a complete renovation of multiple floors and infrastructure improvements to the entire building.   The project will be performed in phases which enables Borinquen Medical Center to continue to operate throughout the renovation.   As part of its scope of services, Lynx will furnish all materials, labor and equipment required to complete the interior and exterior renovations.

Serving as general contractor, Lynx in collaboration with architect James Piersol of M C Harry, the building will contain a state of the art curtain wall window system, new roof, and a complete renovation of the interior of the building including specialty vinyl flooring, medical prep stations, dentistry workstations, patient exam rooms and specialty high end reception areas for each floor.

Kenny Cartwright, Superintendent for Lynx Construction Management will face many challenges arising from working around ongoing medical functions, the age of the building, hidden damage, upgrade to impact glass, updating the building to meet current codes, energy efficiency and accessibility.
