Lynx-Christopher-Moran-261x300On the heels of an incredibly successful 2013, Lynx Construction Management is set to reach new heights in 2014. With a host of projects already underway and a group of talented construction professionals who share a common bond of delivering only the finest quality work ethic, Lynx Construction’s blueprint for success is being met with some outstanding results.

“We’ve assembled a team that is committed to making Lynx the premier construction company in South Florida,” said Chris Moran, president of the Coral Gables-based company. “We have geared up to expand our operations throughout the entire U.S. It’s easy for me to say that the best is truly yet to come.”

In just the past few months, Lynx has hired a senior estimator, an assistant project manager as well as three project superintendents who bring a combined 75 years of construction experience to their positions.

Lynx continues to build on its list of noteworthy projects in 2014 with a major renovation and build-out for Borinquen Medical Centers, a highly regarded provider of health and social services for all in our culturally diverse community.

As part of its scope of services, Lynx will furnish all materials, labor and equipment required to complete the interior and exterior renovations and, most importantly, the medical offices will remain in full operation while construction on five of the building’s six floors is taking place.

“I’ve been quite fortunate to have surrounded myself with an incredible group of individuals who take their work very seriously,” Moran said. “It’s a team effort that is helping our company reach new milestones and I want to acknowledge the many contributions of our subcontractors, vendors and suppliers who are at our job sites daily providing their expertise on our many projects.”

Among the notable projects already completed by Lynx in 2014 are two significant jobs for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The first, at its Maintenance Facility in West Palm Beach, and the other at the Historic Train Station in Fort Lauderdale. Recognizing Lynx’s sensitivity for historic, yet modern renovations, the company also completed a major project for the Village of Surfside’s celebrated Collins Avenue.

While under construction, Lynx’s team worked diligently to insure that the FDOT Maintenance Facility’s emergency roadway system was fully operational. The project also required multiple repairs to the bays in the outdoor vehicle workshop building. A complete renovation of more than 21,000 square feet of office space, and new construction at the facility’s storage building, was also among the renovation and modifications of its two existing buildings.

Lynx’s work on behalf of FDOT’s Train Station in Fort Lauderdale, originally built in 1927, focused on upgrades to the existing station exterior to better withstand adverse weather conditions, improving accessibility to and from the existing train station, renovating the interior train station to meet ADA requirements and upgraded and appearance of the station’s lobby.

Lynx also left an impressionable mark on Surfside as it recently completed numerous construction projects to upgrade, repair and renovate the town’s famous Collins Avenue from 82nd Street to 96th Street. The projects culminated with the unveiling of a new beautiful beach entrance with a stunning mosaic on 95th Street. With a contemporary take on the area’s signature Art Deco visage, a brand new mosaic design includes a vibrant green, yellow and blue color scheme accenting the waves and dunes of the beach while conveying an open air park feeling for local businesses.

“We appreciate that our clients put their trust and jobs in our hands and for that we thank them,” Moran said. “There’s no better motivator for us to deliver the best results on their behalf.”
